Meet the Staff: 3 RDAs on What Makes Pleasanton Pediatric Dentistry Special

Pleasanton Pediatric Dentistry, our sister office, is located in a thriving community with one of the highest ranking school systems in California. Surrounded by 1,200 acres of parks and open space, Pleasanton is conveniently close to Silicon Valley and San Francisco while being tucked away in its own picturesque scene, complete with a flourishing business sector that includes our pediatric dentistry practice.

Jennel, who has been a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) for Pleasanton Pediatric Dentistry for almost three years now, describes Pleasanton as a diverse little town with plenty of activities, parks, and restaurants. Maria, now an RDA for over three decades, adds that Pleasanton is additionally very family-oriented.

“The city offers street fairs and concerts in the park on Friday nights in the summer,” Maria says.

A Fun Dental Experience

Pleasanton Pediatric Dentistry staffers boast working in a small office where they can interact with patients and families closely, getting to know them on a personal level.

“A difference I made for a family was getting to know the patient really well, and also making the dental visit a fun experience,” Jennel says. This family had not found a “dental home” for their child until they’d met the friendly faces in the Pleasanton office.

Maria adds that patients are very pleased with their appointment and overall experience at Pleasanton Pediatric Dentistry.

In addition to patients, parents usually leave our Pleasanton office happy as well. This includes the parents of special needs kids.

“Working with our special needs patients taught me to be patient myself,” Jennel says. “It takes a lot of effort and time.”

Mabel, now an RDA at Pleasanton Pediatric Dentistry for three years, describes regularly seeing scared patients who become familiar and comfortable with the dental examination routine.

“I work with a great team of staff members and we communicate very well with each other. We listen to our colleagues and patients.” Mabel says.
