Dr. Priyal Ohri, DDS, MS, joined Alameda Pediatric Dentistry in 2016. Her educational journey took her from southern California, where she was born and raised, to northern California, and back again. After completing dental school at UOP, a general dentistry residency at UCLA, and pediatric dentistry training at USC, she was thrilled to move back to the Bay Area to stay.
“I was lucky enough to find an opportunity at this wonderful practice. I love the practice philosophy and am very excited to be able to work with not one but three wonderful pediatric dentists.” Dr. Ohri says.
Dr. Ohri is excited to be back in the Bay Area. When she’s not at work, she, her husband, and their son can often be found exploring. “There are so many wonderful restaurants and I love the small town feel of the area. A lot of our weekends are actually spent in Alameda because it is such a great place to hang out, especially with our 1-year-old son.”
As a dentist, Dr. Ohri believes healthy teeth are essential to a happy and healthy life. She gets enjoyment from working with children, in particular.
“Each child is so unique and keeps each day different. I love to talk with kids, get to know them, and hear all of the wonderful things they have to tell me.”
That said, it’s no surprise her favorite part of the job is getting to know her patients and their parents. “I love to get to know families and try my best to make kids as comfortable as possible during their dental visit. I’ll admit, some days are tough, but if even one child gives me a high five or a hug, it just warms my heart.”
