At Alameda Pediatric Dentistry, our number one priority is to keep our patients, their families, and our staff safe and healthy.
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the state’s mandate, we have temporarily closed for all non-emergency appointments, including orthodontic follow-ups.
Given the closure, you may have a few questions.
WILL THIS DELAY MY CHILD’S TREATMENT?
A good part of successful orthodontic treatment is showing up for appointments. Under these unusual circumstances, it’s okay. Please don’t panic. Though appointments are scheduled out to achieve maximum success, this temporary closure shouldn’t have much of an impact on your overall treatment plan. Our orthodontists will work hard to get your child’s treatment plan back on track when we reopen.
WHAT SHOULD WE BE DOING NOW?
You can help keep your child’s treatment on track by following the directions given at previous appointments, making sure your child keeps their teeth clean, and preventing orthodontic emergencies by avoiding hard and sticky foods.
HOW WILL WE KEEP IN TOUCH?
If you haven’t yet received a phone call from our office, you probably will soon depending on when your next appointment was scheduled. We have also set up videoconferencing with our orthodontists to help you; please call us if you’d like to do this. Moreover, we are consistently updating our Facebook Page and website, so please refer to those first before calling the office.
YOU SAID YOU’RE OPEN FOR “EMERGENCY AND ESSENTIAL DENTAL CARE,” WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
